GZG ECC 2017 Part 2

March bring one of my favorite conventions, Ground Zero Games East Coast Convention.  Taking place in Owego NY, this is a small con that is my fav.  More focus is on having fun than beating the other guy.  check out the link for more info.

The second game I ran was a Pulp Alley game called "Hitler's Death Ray-inator".

Somewhere on a mountain top in the German Alps, Hitler has a team of scientists working on a weapon that could tip the scales of the war. Your Mission is to infiltrate the secret base with one of these leagues, Screaming Eagles' Commandos- British commandos; OSS strike team, a US elite squad; The Rocket Patrol, a US Racketeering squad, or the Black Bears, a Russian spec ops squad. They will retrieve scientists and destroy the base OR are you a rooting for the AXIS and have them defend their lair and fire their ultimate weapon. Rules will be taught for this Pulp inspired skirmish game using 28mm scale figures.

I don't have a full AAR, but here are some pictures.  I forgot to take pictures so these are courtesy of Jerry Han and Mark "Indy" Kochte.

GZG ECC 2017 Part 1

March bring one of my favorite conventions, Ground Zero Games East Coast Convention.  Taking place in Owego NY, this is a small con that is my fav.  More focus is on having fun than beating the other guy.  check out the link for more info.

So this year I ran 2 events, the first of which was an Axel's & Alloys game called "I'm your ice cream man".
In the hot and dusty future, only one this is better than being shiny and chrome, its ice cream. Our local despot (Immortan Jon) awaits the latest shipment of the refreshing treat (just don't ask where they get the milk), rival gangs attempt to hijack the shipment before it reaches his compound. Are you MAD enough to hijack the frozen gold, of are you ready to ride in to Valhalla protecting Immortan Jon's tasty treats?

I don't have a full AAR, but here are some pictures.  I forgot to take pictures so these are courtesy of Jerry Han and Mark "Indy" Kochte.
Here I am, waiting for the players to show
Cars ready to be choosen

Here is the war rig with escort vehicle ready for their run home

Part of the gauntlet that the was rig has to face

The chase is on

Sooo close, but the war rig couldn't quite make it home.
At the end of it all everyone had a great time.

Up Next part 2 with a Pulp Alley Game.

CarnageCon 2015

Just got back from this years CarnageCon.  I ran a game set days of WWII, a Nazi cult is attempting to use a collection of artifacts to open a dimensional portal at Stonehenge! Their goal is to draw out an otherworldly uber beast to use as a WMD in conjunction with the ongoing blitzkrieg. Players could play as the Relic Hunters, adventurers set to retrieve the artifacts; The Beyonders, occult specialists; Screaming Eagles' Commandos, British commandos; OSS strike team, a US elite squad; OR as the Nazi cultist and their security squad.

Stonehenge

Hello,

Here is my attempt at creating Stonehenge for an upcoming  Pulp Alley game

It all started with these innocent pieces of foam

Next I covered the foam with Spackle.  Next i primed the pieces, which tuned out to be a little bit of a problem.  I used a grey primer, which was too dark to the next coat.

Here are the pieces after i used a faux stone paint

These guys need 2 coats due to the dark primer

Next I set up the pieces in the closest way to the real Stonehenge as I could.  At this point I installed magnets on the bottom of the pieces, with a corresponding washers on the board.  This makes the board very easy to travel with.

close to the end.  Here i have installed the grass mat and the road (sand paper).  I also took some small gravel and painted with the same "stone" paint to help flesh out the full circles.  Kind of odd painting rocks with a faux stone paint, but it adds to the completeness

Still a little work to be done

Let me know what you think!!

Cool Creature!!

Ok so my wife is really awesome!!  She made this creature for the pulp game I'm working on.  It is made from sculpey clay.  Her paint job totally rocks.
The alter is made from air dry clay and beads.  It still needs some paint.
I'll post the final version once it is completed.

The wife rocks!!

This is Quinn, a construct from the future. He only responds to the Prof. His hand converts into a gun

Melissa is the Prof's assistant

And finally Clarissa, the Prof's caretaker and keeper of Daisy, a bitey house plant

Dallas Tucker is the leader of the Relic Hunters
